The 2015 Annual Meeting of CELEP was held on 25–27 November 2015 at the Cordaid offices in The Hague in the Netherlands. It was hosted Cordaid and organised by AgriProFocus (APF). A total of 23 people took part, including both European members and Eastern African partners of CELEP. On the first day, Camilla Toulmin – former Director of the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) – gave the opening speech. This not only informed the participants on one of the main themes of the meeting – climate change adaptation and investment in the drylands of Eastern Africa – but also raised awareness about this at the level of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On the second and third days, past CELEP activities were discussed and future ones defined in working groups. Thanks go to Marie-José Niesten for facilitating the meeting.
