This one-pager on The value of pastoralism, formulated by CELEP partners to support policy dialogue with the EU, brings very succinctly some key facts about pastoralism in Eastern Africa and some recommendations about what the EU can do to promote conditions favourable for pastoralism.

CELEP is managed by an elected European Focal Point, currently at VSF-Belgium, an Eastern African Focal Point, currently at RECONCILE, Kenya, and a Core Group. The 2022-2023 Core Group is composed of the European members Agrecol Association (Germany), International Institute for Environment and Development (UK) and VSF-Belgium; the Eastern African partners DADO Uganda, Pastoralist Forum Ethiopia, PENHA Somali and RECONCILE Kenya; and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
