The first part of the 5th meeting of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-5) was held on 22–26 February 2021 as a virtual event. It included a report from the Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme about progress with regard to implementing two resolutions from UNEA-4 related to promoting sustainable rangelands and pastoralism. The report “Progress in the implementation of resolution 4/15 on innovations in sustainable rangelands and pastoralism” includes mention of CELEP involvement in technical discussions and strategy planning, and also mentions the “gap analysis”, to which CELEP also contributed.
