The 8-page pamphlet “Holistic Rangeland Management in two communities in northern Tanzania” brought out in 2019 by the Mara Training Centre in Narok, Kenya, describes the approach of Holistic Rangeland Management (HRM). It summarises the key implementation steps, the institutional and governance aspects of the approach and the major biophysical interventions for promoting and monitoring rangeland health. It draws out some key lessons learnt from applying this approach since October 2018 in Selela and Kitwai B Villages in northern Tanzania, working in partnership with the Ujamaa Community Resource Team (UCRT) as the community facilitator. VSB-Belgium – host of CELEP – is involved in this project.
