The CELEP Update October 2020 reports on past, ongoing and planned activities coordinated by CELEP through the European Focal Point at VSF-Belgium and the Eastern African Focal Point at RECONCILE in Kenya. This 6-page issue brings information on, among other things, CELEP’s lobbying activities related to the EU’s Covid-19 response, the EU-Africa strategy, EU discussions on pastoralism and conflict, the International Year of Rangelands & Pastoralists (IYRP) and a breakfast meeting on pastoralism in Ethiopia with German Members of Parliament. It also gives an update on CELEP’s involvement in the Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM) project and introduces the new series of CELEP webinars. A new partner of CELEP is presented: the Center for Research and Development in Drylands, based in Marsabit, Kenya.
