CELEP Update October 2018

The CELEP Update October 2018 reports on past, ongoing and planned activities of the CELEP European Focal Point at VSF–Belgium and the Eastern African Focal Point at RECONCILE in Kenya. This 4-page issue includes, among other things, information about recent events in which CELEP was or is involved such as the Tropentag conference in Ghent, Belgium; lobbying meetings at the European Commission and the EU-Africa week; and the Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM) project in Kenya and Tanzania. It also brings an update on the campaign for an International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralism (IYRP), and plans for next month’s CELEP Annual General Meeting in Brussels (28-30 Nov 2018) and possible engagement in the Ethiopian Pastoralist Day in January 2019.
