CELEP Update October 2017

The CELEP update for October 2017 reports on past, ongoing and planned activities of the CELEP Focal Point at VSF–Belgium and the Regional Focal Point at RECONCILE in Kenya. This 6-page issue includes information about efforts to integrate pastoralists into the International Decade of Family Farming, a side event on pastoralist women recently held at FAO in Rome, the pilot project on Participatory Rangeland Management, plans for a panel on pastoralist education at an upcoming meeting in Senegal, the ongoing analysis of gaps in data on rangelands and pastoralists, information about new member and partner organisations of CELEP, and the programme and side events of the CELEP Annual General Meeting on 7-10 November 2017 in Brussels.
