CELEP Update December 2019

Here you can find CELEP’s latest update, reporting on past activities, publications by CELEP members and partners, and upcoming activities. This particular update, which reports on CELEP activities since July until end of December 2019, includes information on the “Perspectives on Pastoralism” film festival, the 10th annual general meeting of CELEP and the visit of two Members of the European Parliament to a cattle market in Addis Ababa, amongst other things. One of the upcoming activities is the Kenya Pastoralists’ Week on 18–21 December 2019. If you have a particular interest in being involved in one or more of the planned activities of CELEP, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with the CELEP European Focal Point or any other member of the CELEP core-group.

CELEP is managed by an elected European Focal Point, currently at VSF-Belgium, an Eastern African Focal Point, currently at RECONCILE, Kenya, and a Core Group. The 2022-2023 Core Group is composed of the European members Agrecol Association (Germany), International Institute for Environment and Development (UK) and VSF-Belgium; the Eastern African partners DADO Uganda, Pastoralist Forum Ethiopia, PENHA Somali and RECONCILE Kenya; and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
