8 April 2020: The EU is currently reviewing its strategy with Africa. On 9 March 2020, the European Commission and the European External Action Service presented a joint communication “Towards a comprehensive strategy with Africa” to the European Parliament and Council. The European Parliament and Council are providing input into the strategy, which will define the future relationship between the EU and Africa. CELEP has taken this opportunity to send the Parliament a position paper “Towards a new EU-Africa strategy” with comments, recommendations and concrete examples in order to make the strategy “pastoralist-friendly”.
