Building on the knowledge & initiatives of pastoralist women

The Working Group on Pastoralism & Gender in the Global Alliance for the International Year of Rangelands & Pastoralists (IYRP) has published a summary policy brief “Building on the knowledge and initiatives of pastoralist women“.

The longer (6-page) policy brief, with the same title, on which the summary was based, includes several examples of pastoralist women’s initiatives. Case 1 describes the camel milk dairy set up by Somali women in Isiolo in northern Kenya.
